ALIS BALBIERIUS
Writer, photographer, ecologist
Alis Balbierius was born in 1954 in Birzai region, Lithuania. He has published seven poetry books, one essay, two books on ecological issues and held more than 20 personal exhibitions of Feature photography.
Alis Balbierius has been collaborating with different publishing houses in Lithuania.
He used to work as a builder, professional ornithologist, inspector of nature protection and a journalist for national daily and weekly newspapers.
At the time of Lithuanian “velvet revolution" he was an active member of the Greens’ movement.
Now Alis Balbierius is a free-lance writer and photographer.
