Julius Keleras 

Born: Vilnius, 3 March 1961. Studied the Lithuanian language and literature at the University of Vilnius, 1987. Studied the Lithuanian Émigré Literature at University of Illinois at Chicago, 1992. Poet, photographer, translator and journalist. In 1989 emigrated to the United States, where he lectured on Lithuanian literature at Illinois State University, and was engaged for seven years as the Editor-in-chief of a Lithuanian language weekly in New York. Julius Keleras is the author of four books of poetry (Žiemos valtys, 1988, Baltas kalėdaitis, 1990, Sauja medaus, 1995 and XL Poems, 1998). His poems have been translated into numerous foreign languages. Member of the PEN International, 1992. Member of the Lithuanian Writers' Association, 1999. Member of the Lithuanian Union of Art Photographers, 2005. Currently he lives in Vilnius.
